Blanchon Light Oils and Hard Wax Wood Floor Colours

Blanchon White Acrylic Stain and Hard Wax Oil oak floor

To create the whitest oak floor possible you need to use the latest Blanchon development which is an acrylic wood stain that bleaches the white oak giving a consistent “whiteness” throughout the floor.

The finishing on site the process would be as follows:

  • Apply one coat of White Acrylic Wood Stain by brushing in one direction across the grain
  • Allow to dry for at minimum of 10 minutes to ensure the stain penetrates the wood
  • Apply a second coat of White Acrylic Wood Stain by brush at 90 to the first by brushing along the grain
  • Allow to completely dry for at least 3 hours
  • Apply one coat of Hard Wax Oil by roller or brush
  • Allow this first coat of white hard wax oil to completely dry over 24 hours
  • Apply the second coat of White Hard Wax Oil
  • Allow 24 hours (preferably 72 hours) before the floor is subjected to traffic

The floor will harden within 24 hours of the final coat, but will gradually become a tough hard surface over a period of 9 days from the final coat.
