How Parquet Panels are made
Parquet hand made panels are a multilayer construction to ensure that the panel remains stable throughout its life and can be used with underfloor heating. We use only the best dynea adhesives and there will be at least 4 layers of timber making up the panels. The top and bottom layers will always be the same species and the middle layer poplar. The panels are placed in a hot hydraulic press under extremely high pressure to cure the adhesive so that it becomes one solid block of wood.
The top layer parquet peices can be either square edged or with a micor bevel but the outer edge which is tongue and groove all round will always have a micro bevel to ensure an easy proffessional fit. The finishing is done on line with our noraml high quality natural oil or lacquer.
