The grain on rustic flooring will have wide colour variation, heart and some heart shake, occasional cracks and holes. There are industry standards we follow that limit the size of the features to ensure that the boards are structurally sound. These floors are for people who are a little adventurous who wish to have an exciting, almost wild and rugged looking floor.
Colour is mostly light to mid brown with more variation than the more expensive grades possibly appearing darker due to the increase in knots and burr and the wider colour variation than the character grade. A truly vibrant, colourful floor with an abundance of character and variety of different floor boards even though it is from the same species of Oak or the same tree.
Our Rustic Oak floors do not have as many knots as most as can be seen from the pictures below of the Rustic Oak E304.
If you put your mouse over the pictures below which is taken of boards from one carton it will open to a larger version so you can see all the detail. Please note colours on the web site will be slightly different than the real thing so always ask for a sample.
