Sub floors must always be tested for moisture content which must be less than 10% and integrity of any damp proof membrane (DPM).  There are several ways to seal a floor but we always recommend the best products to ensure a lifetime trouble free installation. The sealants here are the ones that we know work, underlays which state they are vapour proof are not proper DPM's and will not protect a wooden floor against rising damp or moisture that may be in the lower substrate of the concrete slab.
