How does Timberex Oils on woodwork?
Wood contains natural oils and resins to protect it against the weather and aggressive insects like termites etc.
When wood is cut, it looses some of its protective oil, but the application of penetrating oil protects it once more.
Oil soaks into the wood as opposed to coating it, and so even if the surface becomes damaged, the oil is still there to protect it, unlike varnish and lacquers which will chip and leave the bare wood open to permanent
