
| My Brushed and Oiled floor has been scratched underneath my table the boards must be faulty |
After investigation it was found that the floor had been finished by a french polisher with a lacquer or oil that was not compatible with the WOCA Oiled board. This had compromised the performance of the finish.

| I wanted a glossier floor so I coated the new Brushed and Oiled floor with a popular Lacquer. Now it’s pealing off. How do I rectify it |
Oiled boards cannot be coated with lacquers,
Remove the lacquer with WOCA Intense Wood Cleaner. This might need several attempts, then re-coat with WOCA Maintenance Oil or WOCA Maintenance Paste. Buff the surface with a polishing machine if a higher sheen is required. Read more in our TechCentre |
| What finishes are available |
Unfinished: Unfinished boards are designed to be finished on site. After fitting they will require a light sand to remove fitting residue then finishing with either wood lyes and / or oils or lacquers.
Oiled: We use WOCA Woodcare Denmark products for all our oied floors and apply 2 coats at the factory. Master Oil can be applied to give the floor a deeper finish using a polishing mop and patina discs to buff up the floor. We supply WOCA maintenance oil and oil soap for cleaning.
UV Oiled: We apply 3 coats at the factory and cure using infra red heat to ensure a very hard wearing surface that can easily be repaired and maintained. We use WOCA UV Oil and also supply maintenance kits with paste and soap oil for cleaning.
Lacquered: One of the toughest finishes available for this range we use Treffert laquers and apply 9 coats. Read more in our TechCentre |
