The Solid Wood Flooring Company was established by Martyn Ryder after extensive research into the industry. Martyn Ryder has been trading internationally for more than twenty years and has established a factory that can produce anything our customers require. We have developed top quality engineered boards up to 340mm wide and 20mm thick with a solid top layer of 6mm hardwood. We are very environmentally conscious and only use timber from sustainable sources. Our Bamboo is from areas that do not affect the habitat of the Panda Bear and we always strive to use raw materials that have been damaged or fallen in worldwide storms. For example we have shipped a lot from the middle of Europe a few years ago after the extensive storms that occurred there.
Our factories use the latest machinery from the USA, Germany and Italy, all our finishes use either Danish (for WOCA Oils) German or Swiss technology to ensure a long lasting easy to clean floor. Quality control is our byword and we are extremely confident in our products and how they will enhance your home or workplace. We have large stocks of raw materials and finished flooring to cater for those periods where demand is high. We have interests in other specialist manufacturing companies that use the latest technology and process ensuring consistent production quality and reliability of supply.

When looking at our products you must compare like with like, as we supply single plank solid oak boards 18mm thick in widths of 125mm, 130mm and 150mm. Any boards over 150mm wide will tend to “cup” after a period of stabilisation due to the atmospheric conditions prevailing in the UK. This is why we developed our top quality engineered oak flooring boards, that once laid will look exactly the same as a solid floor. Even our Bamboo flooring is in widths of 125mm.
If you want wider boards then go no further than our engineered flooring, once laid you will not be ale to tell the difference between these and solid wood.
