We believe that wooden flooring, including Oak floors, Maple flooring, Engineered Oak and Walnut floors should not be purchased like a commodity e.g., like a washing machine, computer etc., and should not be bought over the internet without a full discussion on your personal requirements, sub floors and environment.
Companies who sell other manufacturers products and allow you to buy with a credit card over a secure site are not doing their job properly. There are so many pitfalls when buying and installing wooden floors that any purchase should be very carefully researched before any decision is made.
The final issue is fitting, do not go down the cheap route! We have had to go in and repair floors and reinstall floors due to inexperienced fitters and builders who do not understand how to fit a wooden floor. We use wood to make paper and we all know what happens when paper gets wet! We have had people who have had to replace a floor because after spending thousands on a top quality floor they then employ a “cowboy†because it is cheap and end up with disasters you would not believe.
