    White Oak Floor

There are several ways to achieve this and it will depend on how white you want your floor to look. You must follow the instructions on the WOCA oils and Lye’s you are using to ensure that the finish is consistent with a hard wearing floor.

This instruction should be read in conjunction with our information on the various WOCA wood Lye’s. It is imperative that you do not allow excess oil to dry on the surface as this will leave it slightly “tacky”. If this happens then please see the instructions on how to remove this top layer.

There are many shades of white as we know when painting walls and the list of products to use together starts with the lightest white floor (not really white) to the Whitest floor you can get using oils.

As with all natural products there will be variations in the whiteness due to the grain and cell structure of each plank being unique just like human beings, unless you have identical twins of course.

For further advice please call this office and if we cannot help then we will talk direct to the manufacturer Woodcare Denmark. The Danes have been using natural oils for centuries to protect their wood. As our boards are 120 grit you can oil directly without having to sand.

Below are the four combinations of products you use together to make a white floor, No 1 is the lightest going through to No 4 which is the Whitest, the percentages represent the amount of white pigment in the oil.

    Retreatment Finishing Treatments
    1. Woodlye White Master Oil White
    2. Pre Colour White Master Colour Oil Extra White No. 118
    3. Pre Colour Extra White High Solid Master Oil White 7%
    4. Pre Colour Extra White High Solid Master Oil Extra White 13%

You should apply the high solid master oils with a machine and buffing pad. You can also use the patina discs. These disc are not like ordinary sanding discs as they are very new on the market and have a grit of 2500.

To continue to get a better white floor keep cleaning with the White Natural Soap and the surface white patinas will improve the more you use the soap. The picture below shows a board with pre clour white and then white master oil
