TFF – Timber Expo 2017 Highlights

02/11/2017

AS LONG TIME MEMBERS OF THE TTF WE ADHERE TO ALL THEIR POLICIES INCLUDING THE RESPONSIBLE PURCHASING POLICY RPP WHICH SHOULD BE MANDATORY FOR ALL TIMBER COMPANIES.

From 10 to 12 October 2017, the Timber Trade Federation presented its latest projects and publications at Timber Expo 2017, NEC Birmingham. Here is what they had to say on the convention:

Under the umbrella of the Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI), three major organisations such as BWF, STA and TTF shared the same Stand, working together to show benefits and applications of timber in construction.

During the three-day event, Dave, Karen and Ben from the TTF Team did their best to answer visitors’ queries and provide information regarding TTF activities and services.

In particular, we relaunched our Timber You Can Trust campaign, explaining the initiative’s targets… and getting more supporters on board!

We remind you that an online petition – designed to raise awareness on the importance of responsibly sourced timber and timber regulation – is now active and ready to be signed! Join the cause with one simple click!

Timber Expo also represented a good showcase opportunity for our latest publications and guides including the TTF Membership Directory 2017 and the brand new Corporate Brochure 2017. Two essential tools to fully understand TTF vision and benefits… all in a nutshell!

Our visitors particularly appreciated the new Timber Trade Topics produced in collaboration with Wood Campus. The publication is a must-have-guide for anyone interested in timber products and sustainable construction materials.

If you want to know more about the subject, we invite you to check the video featuring TTF Managing Director David Hopkins’ presentation about TTF & Wood Campus CPD module on sustainable timber procurement.

Obviously there was room for networking and business opportunities. The joint seminar ‘Doing Business in Belarus’ – organised by the TTF in conjunction with the Embassy of Belarus in the UK – proven successful with over 50 registered attendees and many more joining us on the spot.
