As manufacturers of quality wood flooring, The Solid Wood Flooring Company can react quickly to the latest trends in wood flooring, developing and producing new boards to keep pace with the industry’s wants and needs.
We have noticed a huge spike in interest from designers and developers for grey coloured oak flooring over the past couple of months. Due to demand, we have launched a brand new range of grey oak flooring that includes many different floors, from our mixed grade Silver Fern grey boards to our superb Dolphin Grey Fumed Oak boards.
We have further extended our Grey range to include normal engineered boards, chevron parquet and herringbone parquet flooring
This new trend moves away from white coloured boards to the driftwoods and charcoal grey – creating a lovely natural look in both commercial and residential environments
This grey colouring is produced by our experts by lightly fuming the boards to change the usual yellowing tannins found in oak to a subtler colour. They then use colour oils to create the shades we want before finishing the flooring with a UV oil top coat that seals the grain and maintains the grey colour.
Like the film ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, we have many different shades of grey available already and we are adding more floors to the range each week. And if our current offerings are not quite right for your project, our team of expert craftsmen can create any shade of grey you would like.
