Traditional Herringbone Parquet wood flooring has been around for centuries. The ancient Romans used herringbone patterns for their roads. We only source timber from well managed forests and never from rainforests. Our Oak is FSC® certified with full chain of custody. We take in both the sourcing and manufacturing of our herringbone to ensure it is healthy and sustainable.

There are many ways to fit herringbone as our engineered oak parquet floors are mostly traditional sizes where the length is 5 times the width This means you can lay the blocks because of our accurate machining in the traditional fishbone herringbone pattern or as a “ladder” layout. In fact, you can fit 5 pieces perpendicular to one piece. The choice of layout is yours. You can see the “ladder” layout in the Percy and Founders Restaurant in Fitzrovia London and the case study here.
