Special Design Chevron type White Oiled Maple Flooring

The designers we worked with on this project called this shape the “Diagrid” each pieces has an acute angle much less than 45 degrees which is the standard angle for chevron parquet flooring. The size can be seen in the drawing below as each board is 120mm wide x 600mm  long but the acute angle makes them look narrow.  This is a prime Canadian Maple board which has been finished with white oil which reduces the normal colour variation and gives a silky finish.

The designer we worked with wanted a wood floor similar in shape to the new tower block being build which is itself in a diamond shape. By working with us possibilities are limitless and the bevel was designed to give the flooring a dramatic effect.
