Rathbone Square Project Oxford Street 2017
Project: Rathbone Square Project
Client: Great Portland Estates
Main Contractor: Lend Lease
Fit-Out Sub Contractor: Brown and Carroll
We worked closely with Brown and Carroll, The Architects Make and Lend Lease the main contractor to create a competitively priced high-quality floor for the above development. There are two palette colours a “Latte” light board (Code TW-E715 and TW-E718) and an “Expresso” dark board (code TW-E716 and TW-E720). These were prime oak and were fumed and then finished with a colour oil for easy maintenance and repair to create a uniform natural wood floor.
We are supplying a 190mm wide board and a 260mm wide board in a very select clean grade 20mm thick engineered flooring. We used our specialist knowledge in the area of fuming to alter the tannins in the Oak top layer to create a unique brushed finish.
We completed a site visit and the senior commercial manager from Brown and Carroll went to the factory during production to carry out due diligence.
Our professional approach and expertise in engineered wood floors was appreciated by all concerned and we are very proud to be part of this unique development in the centre of London, just off Oxford street.
Currently, the development is being fitted out. Details and links to the products can be seen at the end of this article.
