Wood Flooring in Volvo Showrooms

Supporting the rollout of Volvo’s premium showroom concept

When Volvo introduced a new showroom concept across its UK dealership network, every material was carefully considered to reflect the brand’s clean Scandinavian design language. The Solid Wood Flooring Company was specified by the project’s architects and interior designers to supply engineered oak flooring that would become a defining feature of the customer experience.

The journey began with a full-scale showroom mock-up, presented at Volvo’s annual dealership convention. Once the concept was approved, the flooring specification was rolled out across dealerships throughout the UK, with opportunities to support future international projects.

The flooring specification

Two engineered oak floors were selected for the showroom programme:

• E730 Oiled European Oak
• Oiled Fineline Oak

Both products were chosen for their natural appearance, dimensional stability and suitability for demanding commercial environments. Their understated finishes complement Volvo’s minimalist interior palette, allowing the vehicles to remain the focal point while adding warmth and texture throughout the showroom.
