According to a recent home improvement survey by Plentific, it has revealed that flooring budgets are on the rise in 2017, with more people wanting to spend money on flooring than anything else.
According to the survey, 29% of homeowners put flooring down as their priority project in 2017, and there is no better choice than sustainable wood flooring.
With the popularity of wood flooring growing, our experts have chosen some the main trends in wood flooring choices in 2017 so far.
Dark Oak Flooring
Grey Oak flooring was the main trend of 2016 and still very popular! (Check out our entire range of superb grey floors here.) But Dark Oak flooring is proving popular this year as designers and architects look to add a rich warmth to any room’s décor.
Dark Oak flooring is perfect for creating a sense of cosiness in large spacious rooms but don’t use them in small rooms with dark walls – it could make your room look smaller and depressed.
Dark floors are also great for creating modern and on-trend interiors
Chevron Parquet boards
Parquet flooring is always at the top of the designer’s ideas list and for good reason as Parquet flooring invokes feelings of elegance, class and a traditional beauty.
In 2017, chevron parquet patterns offer a modern twist on a true flooring classic. Our range of chevron parquet floors are designed to suit any environment and are built to last.
Band Sawn Flooring boards
A modern range of flooring, band sawn boards such as our TW-E781, give a natural and rough looking finish via their distinctive horizontal scores.
These types of boards look perfect in modern, trendy apartment developments such as the Manhattan Loft building at Stratford International
