Quarter sawn planks fitted together to make flooring

With quarter sawn oak floors you get the medullary rays and straight grain which is normally very close as most of the wood come from the centre of the tree with virtually no sapwood which is the young growth. The pictures shown here are of a floor fitted but also the blocks being tested when they are manufactured for accuracy. These parquet blocks are square edged and unfinished and can be finished with any Blanchon Solid'Oils or coloured oils to create a unique herringbone floor.
